FITNESS
To run faster, feel energized and get into a good mood: Athletes should hydrate properly.

To lower blood pressure: Weight training may help.

To hydrate quickly: Low carb low sodium sports drinks are absorbed fastest.

FOOD
To reduce bad cholesterol: eat nuts.

To lower triglyceride levels: Go for mangoes.

Artichoke hearts are healthy: Because they are a good source of iron and dietary fiber.

To improve your mental performance: Sockeye salmon, hard-boiled eggs, halibut, turkey, veal, blue crabmeat.

HEALTH
To ease anxiety: Aerobic exercises such as tennis.

To fall asleep faster: Honey-glazed almonds and a cup of chamomile.

To relieve pain: Do mental math.

To reduce stress: Take several deep breaths slowly, listen to your favourite tunes, head for the gym, watch a game with friends.

Questions to ask your doctor before testing:
What are you looking for? Is this a routine test? Are your worried? What are false-positive and false-negative rates? What are the risks of testing? What are the risks of not testing?





SEX

If the sex was satisfactory: Women may not regret a random hook-up.

To keep their men at home: Some women fake orgasm.

Surprise her with: A getaway.

Why American women are attracted to European men: For the same reason American men are attracted to European cars.

To avoid snacking: Take a quick walk.

To lose weight: Increase workout intensity. Do exercises back-to-back at maximum effort.

To lose weight: Lift. You’ll earn a leaner body and lean muscle.

420 to 211 lbs: Gained: muscle, confidence and a fitness consulting job.

272 to 190 lbs: Registered for 10-K, dumbbell workouts, karate. Weekends: Hiking, biking, cooking. Gained:  beach-body.

MUSCLE
To add muscle: Eat fish.

When doing an overhead press: Lift one arm at a time.
To build your body like a champion:  Do pull-ups.

You’ll have a tough time lifting:  If you’re feeling stressed.

TIPS
To reduce your viral infection rate: Take Vitamin D.

To stimulate your brain: Network with a wide variety of people.

To help prevent stomach cancer: Dental flossing.

In an emergency:  Call an ambulance. Don’t try to drive the injured person to the emergency room.

To manage your health properly: Keep track of your medical history, medication names and doses.

To become a happier person: Pretend you are confident and outgoing: You’ll rise to the occasion.
To cut down your spending: Stop using credit cards. Pay cash.

AGING
To fight brain aging: Vegetarian diet and exercise.

To be better liked and a more effective boss: Be humble.
